How To Join
To become part of the WWS, simply fill out the WWS New Member Application. Once your Membership Application has been received and reviewed, you will be notified with an official welcome letter to the WWS.
Your welcome letter will include the date of your first match, the due date of trivia for that match, as well as your WWS UserID and password which will give you access to WWS Live Chat, WWS Forums and WWS Trivia. You will also be notified as to which brand you have been signed by.
Your membership is not complete until you answer trivia for your first match. If you join, and do not answer trivia for your first match, your application will be deleted from our system, and you will need to rejoin at a later date.
The WWS reserves the right to deny any application or refuse membership to anyone, release any member, up to and including a lifetime ban, and limit the number of active members to any amount, at any time, for any reason. The limit of active members can change at any time, without notice.
All WWS Superstar characters must be original characters, and not real wrestler names. Each member is allowed to control one character in the WWS at one time. The WWS uses an IP tracking system, which records your IP address each time you visit the WWS website, answer trivia, and submit promos. This system is used to prevent members from using two identities on the WWS roster at one time. If any member is found to be controlling more than one character in the WWS at one time, all characters will be removed from the roster, and the membership of the violator will be cancelled.
Brands
WWS Chaos
WWS Chaos is one of the two brands currently active within the WWS. It's first event took place on September 14, 2008. It contains three separate divisions, each one with different trivia. The three divisions consist of trivia from "Before 1996", "1996 - 2003" and "2004 - present" respectively. Each division has its own title.
Matches will be booked by the WWS Chairman, General Managers and Head Promoters. These matches will be determined by the outcome of each match will be based on the scores achieved by the participating wrestlers, while answering weekly trivia questions. Each WWS Superstar's score average will be tracked by the WWS, and matches will be assigned between Superstars of comparable averages. This match-up system replaces having multiple divisions to separate levels of talent. Matches will also be determined by ongoing feuds and storylines written either by the members involved, or the WWS itself. All WWS members are encouraged to be involved in their own storylines, and feuds. All members may request matches to be signed, and will be subject to the approval of the WWS.
The best way to receive attention on WWS events, and further your characters career in the WWS, is to send in a short interview or promo through the WWS Promo Submission Form. Trivia
How does it work?
The WWS uses a flash-based trivia form, on the WWS website, to administer trivia to all members. Therefore, a flash-compatible browser is required to be able to compete in the WWS. Members will use this form to submit their answers each week. The superstar in each match, with the highest trivia score, wins their match. All trivia in the WWS is WWE trivia. That includes WWWF, WWF, WWE, WCW (post-merger only), ECW (post-merger only).
Choosing Your Division
Each WWS Brand contains three divisions. Each brand offers trivia from a different timeframe. Those timeframes are "Before 1996", "1996 - 2003" and "2004 - Present." All members may choose to compete in one, two or three divisions. If a member chooses to compete in multiple divisions, that member must answer trivia for the correct division each week, as it will change based on who the opponent is.
Answering Trivia
Members will log into the WWS Trivia portion of the WWS website using their WWS UserID. Once a member logs into the trivia gateway, he/she will be automatically redirected to the correct trivia for that week. The member will enter his/her superstar name in the flash-based form, and click "Next" to begin the trivia. Each question will be timed, and score will be based on number of correct answers, and time spent on each question. When a member logs into the trivia gateway, that member's IP address will be logged. If a trivia form is not submitted during that active session in the trivia system, the member will receive a DQ for that week.
In the event of a tie in score, total time will be used to break the tie. Instructions are printed on the trivia gatway page. Please read them carefully. The WWS is not responsible if you cannot follow directions.
Trivia Deadlines
Trivia deadlines will be posted on the trivia gateway page, and in the flash-based trivia form. Normally, there will be a "Full Credit Deadline", as well as a final deadline. Answers submitted after the "Full Credit Deadline" will be subject to late penalties in the form of points.
Defaults
If any member does not answer for a match he/she has been scheduled for, the member will receive a default. Effective July 1, 2008, defaults will be handled by giving the member a score of "0". Therefore, there will be no difference between a member who answers with a score of "0", and a member who does not answer. If a member scores "0" two weeks consecutively, either by answering or by defaulting, the member will be released from the WWS.
Live Chat
The WWS Live Chat system is a chat interface which will house at least two separate rooms. One room, called "WWS 24/7" will be in operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is open to all members. The second is a "WWS House Show" room. This room will be used to conduct house shows as part of the WWS World Tour. Anyone who uses the WWS Live Chat system in an attempt to advertise or post answers to WWS trivia will be indefinitely suspended from the WWS Live Chat system, and possibly the WWS Trivia Fed. Consider yourselves warned. You may read the WWS House Show rules by visiting the WWS Live Chat page.
Your WWS Live Chat user account will be activated upon completion of your membership. The password you provided in your New Member Application will be used for this feature. You may reset your password at any time by emailing the WWS at: support@wwstriviafed.com
Championships
The WWS reserves the right to add or remove any title, at any time. There will be a minimum of one title for each ten (10) Superstars on the roster.
All WWS titles are the intellectual property of the WWS. In no way should they be used outside of the WWS without the consent of the owner(s) of the WWS Trivia Fed. While these 'titles' are not real, they are symbols of the WWS, and are an intricate part of storylines. Any actions that are taken to discredit them without proper consent, whether deliberate or unintentional, may result in your loss of that title, suspension, and/or release from the WWS. While the WWS would never want to see one of it's members leave on bad terms, actions taken against the WWS will not be tolerated.
All title contenders will be determined by the WWS Championship Committee, and will be based on the WWS Standings, as well as level of participation and credibility. The WWS reserves the right to deem any person/persons as number one contender to advance storylines.
Co-branded Titles
All co-branded titles will be defended on WWS television shows in the brand where the champion currently competes, and at co-branded PPV events. WWS Hall of Fame
In June 2006, the WWS launched its Hall of Fame, recognizing the efforts of the truly great Superstars to grace a WWS ring. Each of the Big 5 PPV events (Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania, King of the Ring, Summerslam, Survivor Series) will feature the induction of ONE former WWS Superstar. This Superstar will be chosen from a pre-determined list of candidates, selected by the chairman of the WWS. These candidates will be voted on to determine which one will be inducted into the WWS Hall of Fame. Existing WWS Hall of Fame members are required to vote. Each existing member of the WWS Hall of Fame, the WWS President and the chairman of the WWS will all receive one vote. If the WWS President is already an existing member of the WWS Hall of Fame, he/she will only cast one vote. Candidates are chosen based on tenure, success and overall participation. If members of the voting committee choose not to vote, or do not vote by the established deadline, no vote may be cast in their place. Eligibility for the WWS Hall of Fame nomination process begins six (6) months after the Superstar wrestles their last match as a full-time WWS member. One-time appearances, or pre-arranged appearances for storyline purposes will not delay this process. The WWS will only nominate those superstars who are willing to take part in their own induction process, and agree to vote in subsequent Hall of Fame induction periods.
